Ingres is a type of paper named after the Neoclassical French painter Jean-Auguste-Dominique Ingres. The paper has a distinctive texture known as a chain and laid-line surface.

Mi-Teintes is 60% cotton and has a different texture on each side - slightly grainy on one side with a rougher honeycomb structure on the other. Mi-Teintes complies with the ISO 9706 standard on permanence, a guarantee of excellent conservation qualities.

Both papers are good for pastel, charcoal and other mediums as the textured surface allows the materials to adhere to the paper. These papers are also popular with bookbinders for endpapers.
