Old Master- Gaspe

Saint Armand - Old Master - Gaspe
Linen and cotton rag laid paper as used in the 17th century.
Suitable for drawing, calligraphy and etching. Successfully used as wallpaper, for book restorations and in letterpress printing.
The pulp is made using mostly clothing manufacturer's offcuts but also linen, flax, straw, jute and sisal. The pulp is internally sized and will therefore not act as a blotter.
Each sheet is handmade, "pulled" with a mould one at a time and then air dried, resulting in an even distribution of fibers.
The sheets can be folded without cracking and can hold deep embossing. Therefore, after being soaked in water, the paper will return perfectly flat when pressed.
