The Khadi Himalayan papers are made from the bark fibre of lokta or mitsumata. These are native plants which grow at high altitude in the Himalayan forests.

The Khadi Himalayan papers are not sized but the fibre is naturally non-absorbent and these papers are used for pen & ink and various printmaking techniques. They are also great for wrapping, collage and making paper decorations. Please note the coloured papers in this range are not lightfast. Like the Indian Khadi papers, because they are handmade, all the sheets differ and the colours of the dyed ones can vary hugely from batch to batch.
