One Day Pattern Paper Print Workshop.

Perfect for beginners.

Make your own patterned papers on our one day taster course.

You will learn how to create your own printed pattern papers using simple printing techniques that you can replicate at home.

The first part of the day will concentrate on making shapes using relief methods by cutting soft 'lino' with basic cutting tools. Learn how these shapes can be utilized either to produce repeat patterns or more random designs.

Later in the afternoon experiment with printing on a variety of Shepherds beautiful papers of different textures and colours to produce your own decorative papers.

Please do bring along any sketches or inspirational images / reference material you may wish to work from.

All materials are supplied.

Biography:

Mia Buckton (BA Hons) studied Fine Art at St. Martin’s School of Art, London where she also took a post graduate printmaking course. She also studied at The London College of Printing, the Sir John Cass School of Art under John Epstein and attended The Slade School of Art to study painting.

She has worked as a freelance illustrator and is involved in designing sets and costumes for film as well as teaching foundation students at London’s City and Guilds of London Art School.


Students receive a 15% discount off paper, materials and tools on the day.

Shepherds Bookbinders must be informed of any cancellations at least 10 working days prior to the commencement of any booked course to receive a full refund. Any cancellations made after this time will incur a £50 administration fee.

Shepherds Bookbinders reserve the right to cancel or postpone a course, and will endeavour to give 5 working days' notice before the start date, where possible. In these circumstances a full refund will be made.
